I have read this author before in the past and liked her reads, bit of a book slump so I thought "let's try ", the book had so much promise but missed the mark by just being to incomplete. First off the main female character has this horrible scar from some form of a terrible attack while she was a foreign reporter that is never explained, that was just such a huge mistake of the author to tell us about the scar but never how she got it. Then the two main characters supposedly are in love , they get into a fight , he gets someone pregnant and marries her while she is supposedly wounded over seas , he marries her best friend and her brother is his best friend and business partner yet he never finds out what happened to her over seas.Then he gets divorced from her best friend for 2 full years yet only makes his move to get her back when the ex wife goes on vacation with her long time boyfriend, whatttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!, makes zero sense, and they are both celibate for years and years and years until they both reunite. Just so ridiculous, seriously ridiculous!!!!. The author had a good idea for the book but just didn't present it well , it wasn't aweful but it definitely had holes that shouldn't have been there. Thoroughness was needed , story should have been told in present time not before scar after scar, it would have made for a much better read if it was all told to us the readers from being to end ,same story but without all the short cuts .Product details

If you are a sucker for second romance then you'll like this. Its got just enough angst, which I love, without the necessary misunderstandings that some books have. This was a different storyline for a second chance but thats what made it so great. The downside was the unanswered questions. I'm curious about quite a few things but I have a feeling the answers will be coming out in other books.
This was a cute story of love, misunderstandings and happily ever afters. Very fast read.. I wish it would have given a few more details but it that didn't take away from the story.
The blurb pretty much had me hooked and I disappointed that the book couldn’t follow through. I think the problem was that this book would have a much better full length novel. There were a lot of “huh that happened quickly” moments and I felt like for 7 years worth of angst, it was resolved literally in half a chapter. Lastly... what the heck happened to her during her assignment... oh well I guess maybe it doesn’t matter as much as the book tried to make it seem. I guess this book made me feel like I went over to a friends house for a nice home cooked meal and I she made me was microwaveable pizza pockets; still full but left me wanting something with more substance.
Yet another amazing book by the talented Terri Anne Browning!
This is a sweet story of Ash and Sawyer two lovers who are separated by their own stubbornness. It's six years later and they both still feel the same but are too scared to say anything.
This short book is about second chances and allowing yourself to love again. As with everything Mrs. Browning writes this book had romance and passion. Great characters and great writing. So well written, Mrs. Browning could write a dinner menu and still keep us all intrigued. Loved it !
It was an ok read. I felt that the story was rushed, didn’t much care for the characters, I couldn’t relate with them.
Sawyer so called hero comes across as a ass. He was in love with his best friends sister (Ash) they date keeping it a secret from everyone. They had a fight, Ash goes to work overseas for 2 weeks, and in that time He somehow couldn’t keep it in his pants and dose the nasty with his girlfriends best friend (Amber) he gets her pregnant, marries her and regrets it. They have a son together.
In the end sawyer tells Ash how he feels, he also tells his business partner who happens to be his best friend and Ash’s brother.
To much drama and not enough action for me.
Maybe it's me, but the premise of this plot sorta didn't work for me.

When the H said he only waited 2 weeks before he got drunk and smexed the BFF, that was it for me. Alcohol is NOT an excuse or good reason. I got mad at him and that was it. He did finally get it together but by then I didn't much care. Yes, it was a mistake, but when you love, you don't betray. He did.
Otherwise a decent read, although there were a number of loose ends. Mainly the PTSD and scar not being explained, but also the fact that the BFF's and H's son was so loved by the h sorta freaked me out. I'm not that nice; I would have been resentful that he married the BFF instead of just supporting with child support or whatever. They didn't need to get married.
Try it, in case you feel differently.
I loveTAB books, but this was so poorly written. It was like there were missing pages. Why in 2 months he marries and isn't even concerned about her missing. Her scars were left unanswered, it was a big deal and then they have sex and it was never answered why. It just was not the writing I am used to from this author and yes it is only 99 pennies, but I would still expect a well written story.
